IDR’s mission is to promote the thoughtful use of data and research evidence in making educational decisions. Our consulting work involves the creation of measures and the collection and analysis of data to help inform a wide range of stakeholders: teachers, administrators at the state and district level, education funders and policy-makers.
The blog offers an opportunity to share some of the big ideas behind specific projects. What do we know, from previous research, about what does and doesn’t work in education? Research can’t answer all the practical questions educators have, but there are a lot of things we do know. Through this blog, we aim to share some of what researchers have learned, in straightforward and accessible ways.
